I thought I better clarify a few things about my last post.
1. The potty was in the living room because...she has been having all her dolly babies use the potty. So after the dolly went into the big potty...I moved her potty chair into the living room.
2. Honey Bun thought she was going to potty on the floor and that is why he was saying No, No to her.

a first
As a working mom, I have missed some firsts, I have a very good day care provider who lets me think I don't. She didn't tell me when she rolled over for her and waited until I told her that she was rolling over. She lets me think I am not missing everything. How nice is that!
But yesterday we had a first, and I was there to see it.
We have been talking about the potty, she uses the potty when I put her on it in the mornings, and we celebrate appropriately when she uses it. She started to tell me when she "had" to potty. I put it in quotes because usually when she told me it meant that she was currently going potty or had just went potty. But NOT yesterday.
The potty was in the living room, and she was standing by it pulling down her pants and saying potty. Honey Buns was saying No, No and I grabbed her and sat her down on the chair. We watched (mostly because we were all in the living room watching the weather) (we just turned our attention to her) and shortly after she said Done. And we all peered into the pot and there was potty. POTTY in the POTTY! Can you believe it!!!
We (all three of us) were giving high fives all around. And we marched that potty into the bathroom and flushed it down with as much ceremony as we could muster.
I was so proud of my little pumpkin. potty in the potty.

they were my favorites...
...and now they are my worst nightmare. My favorite shoes are worn out. I got them in 2001. They were my first expensive pair of shoes and I absolutely loved them. I have worn them 3 or 4 times a week since I got them.
How do I know they are worn out?
1. My lower back is killing me
2. My hips ached yesterday
3. My knees are screaming for mercy
4. I have planter faciitis
I finally gave up and ordered a new pair of shoes today. The new ones are Dansko's and I hope they help all my issues. I soaked in the hot tub last night, but still went to bed with a headache. I will retire my beloved shoes to the top of the closet tonight and I expect that if the new ones work for me, I can remove them from my world when I do spring cleaning.
I have walked some miles in those shoes.

resolution update
I am sticking with the menus and surprisingly enough the one shopping day a week is working for me. It is working so good, that the desire to stop at the store(every time I drive past) is gone. I don't even want to go during the week. And I only shopped about an hour this weekend. I ran through the store and only got what was on my list and got outta there. It was wonderful!
Yeah me!
Yeah me!
and your time starts now
Sweet Pea was in time out 3 times this weekend. But when she came out she was sweet. The last time it was a miraculous change. She was a very polite little girl. I am going to have to do this time-out thing more often. I am trying to follow the love and logic plan...and I am trying hard. I know she gets away with too much, I threaten too much, and then she doesn't know what to do when I snap. I need to make the first time the last time. I am trying hard to be a good parent.
Why is it so hard?
Why is it so hard?

100th episode
I think this is my 100th posting!
I can't believe that I have really stuck with this whole blogging thing. I haven't been doing too good lately, but I have been mostly pouting.
The season starts this week, Honey Bun leaves tomorrow and will return on Sunday. I am not good at being a single mom. My sister is a champ at it, but me...not so good. I mostly wallow in my singleness. And whine to Honey Bun about the singleness. But unlike my sister, he will be home on Sunday. This time I have all kinds of fun planned. Business trip this week, so I am loading Sweet Pea up and taking her with me and dropping her off on the way with her grandparents for the day and on the way home we are stopping off to see some friends. My plans are to get home Saturday night to wait for Honey Buns to roll in and we will exclaim how much we missed him.
Think he will buy it?
