how horrible am I?

Please, no answer needed!

Remember the finger nail polish incident? I washed that outfit with nail polish all over it, and it is stained, but it was new and it still fits and it is not worn out and it is totally wearable...

I sent her to the sitters today...wearing it.

And when the daycare lady saw it, she wanted to know what was all over her shirt???

And I was like...Duh, nail polish

doctor visit...s...

Sick again. That is the story at our house. Sick again. Turns out we have been on 6 (SIX) courses of antibiotics this calendar year. Can you believe 6!!!! I was shocked. I know that things have been sickly at our house, but SIX times we have gotten the drugs.

And now we have gotten the referral to the ENT--to talk about ear infections and allergies.
And I am sure the issue of tubes in the ears will come up.
I am not opposed to tubes in the ears, they work and bring relief to many, many kids. I just want to be sure that my kid needs them and that ear infections are the problem and not just allergies.

I know Sweet Pea has allergies, there is no way she can't, she is her mother's daughter. And my allergies are horrible, year-round and well documented and medicated year-round. But,(cross your fingers) no sign of asthma yet. Other than the croupy cough and the wheezy sounds that come with it (in the middle of the night)

Last night we were up in the steamy bathroom fighting the croupy cough and searching for relief. It was working, but I am anxious to speak with the ENT to talk about allergies and what we can do for my little Sweet Pea.

On a happy note: I will add some photos later. She has recently started LOVING the shopping cart and putting her baby in it and driving it into all the door jams in the house. Somehow no matter how you line up the shopping card...she can drive it right into the jam totally missing the door hole! Amazing.

Happy Thanksgiving to you, we are traveling west for Thanksgiving and east for Christmas. Leaving tomorrow for a whole weekend of extended family fun. Enjoy yours!

wknd at home

Last night was family night. Since having Sweet Pea we have enacted a family night rule. At least once a week we have family night where do stuff together till bedtime. Last night we watched Dora and dance around with her and Boots the monkey, then went for a soak in the hot tub, got into our jammies, read some books and SP went to bed. It was wonderful, it was family night.

And the weekend approaching is empty. Absolutely nothing planned. Will it be wonderful or will it be all housework, all toil and trouble? I will let you know when Monday comes.

finger paint

How do you get fingernail polish out of clothing? Somehow Sweet Pea got ahold of a bottle of fingernail polish at daycare today. And she got nail polish all over her clothes, shoes, the floor and the carpet. Day care lady said she got it off the floor, but her outfit is ruined. I didn't even ask about the carpet. As for the shoes...I worked on them with a little remover on a q-tip. But is there any saving the clothes?

This whole nail polish story is just more proof that what comes around goes around. Because one Easter Sunday, years ago, I too got ahold of a bottle of nail polish and totally ruined my Easter dress while waiting for everyone else to get ready. When I told my mom about today, she just laughed.

parts is parts

Body parts Sweet Pea can identify

nose
ear
eye
hair
mouth
teeth
fingers
arm
legs
feet
toes
and
tongue

the one she can't point to or stick out...her bottom. She gave me a blank stare when I asked where it was. Or maybe that is just something that ladies don't talk about!
